Converged Fabrics on Ethernet

RDMA (Remote Direct Memory Access) Resource Center.

Improve Network Performance with RDMA

Low-latency, high-throughput workloads such as storage network, high performance computing, business analytics, and artificial intelligence, can all benefit from RDMA.

Supports Both RDMA iWARP and RoCEv2

RDMA iWARP runs over TCP/IP and works with all Ethernet network infrastructure that supports TCP/IP. RDMA RoCEv2 operates on top of UDP/IP and provides low latency and high throughput as well. Intel Ethernet® 800 Series supports both RDMA iWARP and RoCEv2, which are selectable via software per port for low latency, high throughput workloads.

Hyperconverged Solutions with Intel® Ethernet 800 Series

Hyperconverged Infrastructure (HCI) integrates elements of a traditional data center using virtualization to deliver a single platform with a unified management plane. HCI is a cost-effective way to scale network capacity and performance.

Intel® Ethernet 800 Series, with support for Remote Direct Memory Access (RDMA), meets the demands of HCI, through higher throughput, lower CPU utilization, and lower latency.
