In Costa Rica’s Central Valley, the Virilla River’s subwatersheds are highly affected by pollution.
Meet a team that’s protecting private forest redoubts and providing technical assistance to help recharge the aquifer that supplies the river. With the water restoration project and Intel support, they’ve been able to restore 46 million gallons of water annually.
Conservation efforts are necessary to ensure that resources like these will continue to exist for generations to come.
