Detailed Description
This package contains the Red Hat* 7.1 Driver Diskette intended to be used during installation and during operation of Red Hat 7.1. See the Readme file or below for installation instructions.
Installation Instructions:
1. Download the selected file.
2. Double click it to create the Red Hat 7.1 Installation driver diskette.
With the driver diskette now created follow the instructions below.
3. Ensure the IIR controller is installed in your machine and is connected to drives on which you intend to create a host drive.
4. Boot your machine and when prompted press [Ctrl]+[G] to enter StorCon. Create a single host drive from your selected disks.
For more information on creating host drives using the StorCon, refer to your user documentation.
Read the Red Hat documentation to understand the disk space/size requirements for the Red Hat 7.1 installation.
Note: Refer to the Red Hat Installation Manual before proceeding.
5. Ensure that the system is set to boot from the CD-ROM drive and boot to the Red Hat 7.1 CD-ROM. At the boot prompt, type "linux dd". Press [Enter] to continue.
6. The installer will prompt for a driver disk. Insert the driver diskette (created from the rh71_drv.exe) and press [Enter].
7. Follow onscreen instructions to complete your installation. Upon completion, remove the floppy diskette from the drive and reboot the system.
