Internet Safety for Families
How can you make sure your kids and family members are staying safe? Our online safety for kids and internet safety for adults programs are designed to help you and your family navigate the internet safely, securely, and confidently.
The Importance of Internet Safety
At Intel, we know that while the internet connects us to a boundless amount of fun, enticing, and informative content, there are plenty of cyberthreats, online scams, and unreliable sources out there too. Our goal is to provide information and resources for kids and adults who want to feel more confident and secure when using computers and the internet.
Online Safety for Kids Program
Intel IT Information Security created the Online Safety for Kids program with the goal of encouraging kids to think about cyber risks before, during, and after they get online. This program provides presentations, parent information, and quizzes for kids ages five to 18 on how to use the internet safely and responsibly. With age-appropriate discussion topics, you’ll be able to help your child build a strong understanding of online safety.
How to Get Started
First, browse our online safety tips to prepare yourself for a discussion about why safe behavior online matters. Then, select and download the appropriate presentation based on the age of your child. For each presentation, there is a matching script with talking points and prompts to keep your child engaged. Once finished, you can celebrate your child’s accomplishment by awarding them a certificate of completion and encouraging them to practice cybersafety that protects them and the whole family.
