Key features on Alder Lake P

With up to 14 cores and 20 threads, this innovative new chip design combines Performance-cores (or P-cores) that focus on primary workloads with Efficient-cores (or E-cores) that are built for multitasking. Intel® Thread Director2 intelligently directs the OS to assign the right workload to the right core.

Enhanced graphics and immersive, engaging video

Up to 96 graphics execution units in the SoC design, based on Intel® Iris® Xe Graphics Architecture, allow for eye- catching visuals and deliver up to 2.47x times faster graphics performance vs. 11th Gen Intel® Core™ Processors.3 4 Up to four display pipes allows solution providers to deploy up to four concurrent 4K60 high-dynamic range (HDR) or up to 8K resolution in one display. Pipelock video synchronization for Windows enables smooth video walls.

Fast AI with hardware acceleration and Xe Architecture

12th Gen Intel® Core™ mobile processors enable high- performing AI for inferencing and machine vision use cases. Up to 96 execution units and Vector Neural Network Instructions (VNNI) on the CPU for a high degree of parallelization in AI workloads, combined with built-in AI acceleration from Intel® Deep Learning Boost (Intel® DL Boost) and the Intel® Distribution of OpenVINO™ toolkit.

Small footprint and processing efficiency

SKUs with processor base power ranges of 15W to 45W in a low z-height offer a balanced platform with high performance CPU, GPU, and AI capabilities in an SoC footprint. The soldered-down BGA package and low processor base power ranges deliver new total compute capabilities to small form-factor applications.

More connectivity and bandwidth

With multiple PCIe Gen4 lanes and Thunderbolt™ 4/USB4, 12th Gen Intel® Core™ mobile processors offer a bigger data pipeline directly to the CPU. This series also supports up to DDR5 4800 and LPDDR5-5200 memory, for greater bandwidth to support workload convergence and more simultaneous applications.

Product and Performance Information

1

Performance hybrid architecture combines two new core microarchitectures, Performance-cores (P-cores) and Efficient-cores (E-cores), on a single processor die. Select 12th Gen Intel® Core™ processors (certain 12th Generation Intel® Core™ i5 Processors and lower) do not have performance hybrid architecture, only P-cores.

2

Built into the hardware, Intel® Thread Director is provided only in performance hybrid architecture configurations of 12th Gen Intel® Core™ processors; OS enablement is required. Available features and functionality vary by OS.

3

Performance varies by use, configuration and other factors. Learn more at www.Intel.in/PerformanceIndex.

4

Performance results are based on testing as of dates shown in configurations and may not reflect all publicly available updates. See backup for configuration details. Learn more at www.Intel.com/PerformanceIndex.

5

Available on select processor SKUs.

6

Intel processor numbers are not a measure of performance. Processor numbers differentiate features within each processor family, not across different processor families. All processors are lead-free (per EU RoHS directive July 2006) and halogen free (residual amounts of halogens are below November 2007 proposed IPC/JEDEC J-STD-709 standards). All processors support Intel® Virtualization Technology (Intel® VT-x, VT-d).

7

The frequency of cores and core types varies by workload, power consumption and other factors. Visit https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/architecture-and-technology/turbo-boost/turbo-boost-technology.html for more information.

8

Intel vPro® Enterprise includes Intel® TXT, Intel® Hardware Shield, Intel® AMT. Please refer to vPro brand requirements for full details (RDC #635949).

9

To use the Intel® Iris® Xᵉ brand, the system must be populated with 128-bit (dual-channel) memory. Otherwise, use the Intel® UHD brand.

10

Validated, but Intel® Active Management and other security features not available.
