Description

When I try to install Intel® Matrix Storage Manager version 8.x from within Windows*, I get an error message that says: "File copying was not successful. Setup will exit."

Solution

This issue was resolved with Intel® Rapid Storage Technology version 9.5 or later.

Cause

When a language that is not supported by the software is chosen for the operating system setting: "language for non-unicode applications," the driver file, iastor.sys, is successfully installed; however, all of the remaining files are not.

If you are using an older version of the software, in order to successfully install all files, you will need to select a language supported by the software for the "language for non-unicode applications" setting during operating system installation.
