How to keep the CPU temperature within its thermal limits?

Environment

Intel® Server Board S2600STB

BUILT IN - ARTICLE INTRO SECOND COMPONENT
Summary

BIOS recommended fan settings for processor cooling

Description

The CPUs remain below 75 degrees centigrade with the PWM set to 50 percent. Runs at 2500RPM during idle, ramping to 8000RPM during stress times.

Resolution

In order to make sure that the system will continue to be within thermal limits, change fan profile from Acoustic over to Performance (BIOS > Main screen, select Advanced > System Acoustic and Performance Configuration).
So there will be cooling adjusted as preferred method in oppose to components throttling, and configure Baseboard Management Controller (BMC) alerts sending for all thermal sensors (Refer to the BMC guide page 49, 7.3.1 Alerts section)
