Description

System restarts after four seconds in a continuous loop.

 

Resolution

Follow these steps:

  1. While restarting your computer, continuously press the F8 key until you get the Windows logo on screen.
  2. After the boot menu appears on screen, release the F8 key and select Safe Mode.
  3. When Windows boots into Safe Mode, go to the Search box, type sysdm.cpl, and then open sysdm.cpl from the search results.
  4. Navigate to the Advanced tab and select Settings under Start-up and Recovery.
  5. Uncheck the Automatically restart check box.
NoteConsider enabling the Write an event to the system log check box if not already checked. Click OK and again restart your computer.
