Operating system is not recognizing the network card.

Motherboard BIOS detected the card.

Resolution

Intel validated Ubuntu* Linux* versions 14.x and 16.x as compatible with the Intel® Ethernet Server Adapter X520-DA1 for Open Compute Project. Version 17.04 is pending to be validated.
Provided with the latest Linux*-based drivers for Intel® Ethernet Network Connections.
Latest Intel® Network Adapter Driver version 5.6.3 worked properly with Ubuntu version 18. The version 17 didn't work as per customer feedback.
