Known Issue: Intel® NUC Kits and Mini PCs - Issues Waking Display from Sleep When Using Intel Graphics

The Intel® NUC Kit or Mini PC is using Intel graphics and is connected to the display(s) via HDMI

Summary

Issues with waking a NUC kit from sleep when using Intel Integrated Graphics processors.

Description

When a display, or multiple displays are connected to the Intel® NUC using HDMI, the display goes to sleep and the Intel NUC is unable to wake them up.

Resolution

Intel has released HDMI firmware (FW) that addresses this issue on the below Intel NUC families.

HDMI Firmware Update Tool for NUC7i3DN, NUC7i5DN, NUC7i7DN1.78.1.1

You can also try the Type C port instead of HDMI, as it doesn't seem to have this issue.
