Fan Spinning at ~3800 RPM on NUC8i5BEH Regardless of BIOS Settings

System: NUC8i5BEH BIOS version: 0084 and earlier

Summary

A BIOS update is required if the fan is always spinning over 3800 RPM even when the BIOS is set to lower speeds.

Description

The fan is always spinning at ~3800RPM. Changing the BIOS settings or Power profiles don't make any difference.

Resolution

Update your Bios to BIOS 0085 or newer.
