Why do I see a mismatch between the JTAG Usercode and Checksum in MAX II or MAX V devices when Auto Usercode feature is enabled?

Environment

  • Intel® Quartus® Prime Standard Edition
  • Intel® Quartus® Prime Lite Edition
  • Intel® Stand-Alone Programmer 10.23 (For Legacy Max+Plus® II Software)
  • BUILT IN - ARTICLE INTRO SECOND COMPONENT
    Description

Due to a known problem in Quartus® Prime Programmer, you may see a minor difference between the JTAG usercode value and the calculated POF checksum value in MAX® II or MAX V devices when the Auto usercode feature is enabled in Device and Pin options of Quartus Prime software. They are expected to be the same.

Other device families are not impacted by this.
