1.3.2.2. Byte Serializer

The byte serializer allows you to run the transceiver channel at higher data rates while keeping the FPGA fabric interface frequency below the upper limit, by halving the width of the data bus and doubling the data rate. The Byte Serializer forwards the least significant word first followed by the most significant word. For example, assuming a channel width of 32, the byte serializer forwards tx_parallel_data[15:0] first, followed by tx_p arallel_data[31:16].
