1.8.2. Base Profile

A base profile is the superset profile within a reconfiguration group. A base profile defines a single port with the highest Ethernet rate and uses all the transceivers allocated for the group. The Ethernet rate is predefined for every group and is not modifiable.

For example, the 100GE-4 Reconfigurable group has the 100GE-4 base profile with optional FEC and MAC selections. You must always configure the base profile.
